How to Heal Your Acne Scabs – Stop Acne Scarring

Although there are now over-the-counter drugs that you can easily buy in your local drugstore, some if not most of them do not necessarily deliver what they promise – to remove the scars after healing. Most of us find ourselves trying every cream or ointment that we can find and still, we end up with no cure. Now here is some good news, here are a few alternative solutions to help reduce scabs and scarring after acne. These solutions can be easily made at home and are guaranteed to save you money!

1.    Apply a warm compress on the affected area. The warm temperature hastens the healing of the scab. What you need to do is soak a gentle washcloth in warm water and apply it on the scab a few minutes everyday. Just be careful not to apply very hot water as this might burn your skin and cause a bigger problem than the acne scabs you already have.

2.    Apply moisturizing cream. Lotion such as Vaseline helps the healing of an acne scab. Scabs are naturally itchy and dry. The lotion will help reduce the itching and keep the surrounding skin moisturized.

3.    Keep your hands off. Scabs are the body’s natural way of healing an injury such as that from acne. So it is important to keep it undisturbed as much as possible to allow the healing to take place. Your hands may contain germs and bacteria that could possibly worsen the infection so try not to touch the area as much as possible

These tips are simple, inexpensive and are not hard to do. It just takes a little discipline to follow these solutions everyday to help your remove those scabs and come out of your acne problems as scar free as possible.
